Guest aviramof Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 Re: update KB958644 has caused problem with my computer screen yes and this update is very bugy i don't see no reason to install it for the time being it destroyed my tv card driver that is 100% because i didn't have any problem with him for a very long time and caused the ati drivers to ignore my main screen and use my secondery screen(the older)to as my main screen really messey buisness was to fix all of that. I doubt that the patch did this. Try rebooting your box. Sometimes on dual screens they just freak out during reboots.

I am using external 24 inch Dell flatscreen, and the same happened to me, suddenly the screen flickered to black and back to windows, and then it turned off for about 10 min. I rebooted my notbook and the same thing happened when I wanted to login. Personally I think that there is a bug in this KB958644 that is giving me problem with my flatscreen (the problem isn't there when I using my notbooks screen).
