Lost game time.

Hello. I own a new pc. Windows XP home ed, version 2002, service pack 2. AMD Athlon 64x2 dual core processor, 4200+. 2.2 GHZ, 1.00GB RAM. NVidia GeForce 8500 GT graphics card. Pc works well until i play my game (SIM CITY 4 Deluxe edition). After a non-specific period the screen turns black then returns to my screensaver. When i reload the game starts at the last save point. I consider myself a novice, and don't have any ideas to solve this problem. Please advise. tony0906.

Make sure you have the screensaver turned off completely.

My mistake. It doesn't return to screensaver, its the desktop. tony0906.

Update your card drivers and see if that helps.

Disable background tasks.

Disable your antivirus while playing.
