Guest franktee Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 Hi all Am unable locate my cookies folder icon. Have tried - "mycomputer/documents & settings/username" - but said file no longer shows up as it previously did. I might have inadvertantly deleted it. Thanks in advance. Winxp pro.

Guest franktee Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 RE: no cookies folder Hi nass, Thanks for your response. Have followed all your instructions, including showing of hidden folders, but when I click "temp", nothing shows up. Q- Why? A- To not be mistoken(mistaken lol) by users, and fiddle with it and delete these Hidden files/folders.
Guest nass Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 RE: no cookies folder Then your Temp file corrupted, try to locate it somewhere else then restore/recreate it back to the default: C:\Documents and Settings\User\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files. BTW you can delete/remove Temp folder by doing this: Click Start >> Control Panel >> Double click Network and Internet Connections >> Double click Internet Options. On the IE properties windows you will see these Tabs: General | Security | Privacy | Content | Connections | Programs | Advanced. On IE properties under General Tab click on Settings opposite the Browsing Histroy option then you will see the disk space located to your Temp folder and also some buttons one of them called [Move Folder..] you will have to click on this to move the folder to another location then reboot and try to relocate it back to the default Path: C:\Documents and Settings\User\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files "franktee" wrote: > Hi nass, > Thanks for your response. > Have followed all your instructions, including showing of hidden folders, > but when I click "temp", nothing shows up. > > > > "nass" wrote: > > > > > > > "franktee" wrote: > > > > > Hi all > > > Am unable locate my cookies folder icon. > > > Have tried - "mycomputer/documents & settings/username" - but said file no > > > longer shows up as it previously did.
