XP Turn off / restart

Not a big deal, but I thought I would ask...

Using Trend AV payfor version 2007. All up to date.

When I use the turn off option, and turn off the computer, all is normal.

When I use the restart option, 2 subsequent instances of tavsvc.exe errors

occur and point at memory locations during the closing process. I have the

option of either to "end now" or "cancel" for both errors. If I choose "end

now" for both, PC restarts normally. If I choose to do nothing, about 5

seconds later, all closes, and the PC restarts normally. If I choose

"cancel", it still closes and restarts normally. However, I've noticed that

some windows updates initiate a restart. When I opt for the restart by the

windows update prompt, there is no tavsvc.exe error in closing.

This is a problem with TrendMicro's software. Either contact their tech

support or use something better. I recommend NOD32, Kaspersky, or even

Avast if you want a free AV.

Nope, not a big enough deal for something that radical. Thanks for the

reply anyway.
