Guest /u/omgwtf_isgoingon Posted September 1, 2024 Posted September 1, 2024 Hey guys, I'm writing this in the hope that one of you will know what's happening to my mac. I just bought this new macbook and I'm trying to calibrate the display so that the colors match with my old mac, the only issue is that as I'm calibrating it, once I picked the name of my custom display, my screen instantly darkens, right as I arrive at the "Conclusion" part and then my screen display looks awful. Seriously right before I pick the name of the display it looks bright and great and the moment I click on the "continue" button it becomes soooo dark that even if I try to make it brighter by increasing its brightness by pressing the keyboard keys it hurts my eyes because the contrast is so bad, the colors are fine but the contrast is terrible, the darker colors like brown are really dark and the lighter colors like beige are hurting my eyes. Night Shift is disabled and all and I've already checked the display settings in accessibility. It just looks like there is constantly some sort of night mode on but there's not... It doesn't make any sense, on my old mac when there my brightness level is at 5 it's really bright but on this new retina mac if its brightness level is at 5 the color brown literally looks black. submitted by /u/omgwtf_isgoingon [link] [comments]
