Office 2007 Icons Fuzzy

Recommended Posts

(I posted this in the Office groups with no replies, you guys (ladies)

are smart, so I thought I'd try here)

Hi,

My icons in the ribbon bars are fuzzy in Word 2007, Excel 2007, etc.

My computer is perfect, Nvidia 8600gt card, latest drivers, etc.

All my programs are perfect except Office 2007.

Resolution is 1280 x 1024 on a Samsung 931BF 19" monitor.

When I paste anything into a new Word document, all is fine, all the

typefaces in the toolbar and in a document are perfect, it's just the

icons in the ribbon and sub-menus. (Note: the typeface within a toolbar

icon image are fuzzy, also).

I do have full Acrobat installed and it's in my ribbon.

I have two other computers at the office with the same monitor and no

issues. My 15" laptop is fine also. All also have Acrobat in the

ribbon.

I have WinXP SP3 and all updates as of today. Dell 8400 3.0 P4

2 gig ram.

Google shows other people have had this problem, but no solutions.

Thanks

Which Office newsgroup did you post in. If you did not get an answer is because nobody knew as will be the case here. If you are using that high resolution as you posted then what is your Icon size set at . Might try a smaller Icon size setting on the Ribbon and see if that will help against the high resolution you have set presently on your system

Re: Office 2007 Icons Fuzzy

First - your delimiter takes away everything on a reply. Second, your

carriage return should be set around 72 so your sentences aren't twenty

feet long. Third, top-posting makes a long thread a disaster.

That being said, I am using the native resolution which is 1280x1024 for

a 19" monitor.

Icon 32 DPI 96. As I said, I have the same monitor at work and it is

fine. As for nobody here knowing the answer, I think you underestimate

the group.

You mention icon size on the rbbon and I can't find any setting for

that.

Thanks for the reply, though.

What an idiot. You complain with every post and you expect help? Better

stick your head back up your 72DPI ass.
