Guest /u/DefinitionFew8880 Posted October 27, 2024 Posted October 27, 2024 Hi, here is my problem, I'm playing a game where I need to do something every single day at a specific hour or I can face bad consequences (putting a shield in Lord Mobile..) but it is quite annoying and stressful to do that every day at the exact same time with an alarm, and sometime I forgot and wake up dispirited in the morning.. don't want that to happen again.. So I would like automate this task. I thought of 2 ways to do that: It is a mobile game, I can play it with PlayCover on the Mac. I could do a Shortcut + using Automator to launch PlayCover and do the rest, I'm currently trying this solution, but sometime timing get messed up while doing this, because the game can sometime have a longer loading screen, sometime I need to do more click than others, and sometime I run into an error... and I still didn't find how to use the automation with Shortcut. So it can work, but the probability of completing the task perfectly is quite low... With code, I'm not an expert, not even a beginner.. but would it be possible to code something that open an app, click on a few red cross, click on a few other buttons then quit the game? And it would be even more interesting if it could do all of that without disturbing me, running it in background. I think it might be possible, but not easy.. I think the option 2 is way more reliable than the option 1, but is also way harder to do. But I don't even know if the option 1 is possible at all.. Thanks for your time :) submitted by /u/DefinitionFew8880 [link] [comments]
