Why are there transistors only on one side of the logic board in MacBook Air M2

Rest all other Macs like the m1 Air and m1/m2/m3 pro have components on both sides of the logic board. Why do only the m2/m3 Air defer in this regard. Is it because of the thinner chassis? Can someone with little knowledge about electronics explain this thing to me?
