Guest /u/InfiniteHench Posted October 29, 2024 Posted October 29, 2024 You can find estimated timelines for rolling out Apple Intelligence and Siri-specific features all over, and those estimates are still shifting. MacRumors has a decent one, I hear Mark Gurman has a good one in his newsletter somewhere. Example: The fun colored border animation is not in 18.1. I'm on the 18.2 developer beta (which I do NOT recommend installing) and it's there, and some timelines claim 18.2 might ship in Oct or Nov. As for Siri's abilities and intelligence, it hasn't gotten anything major in 18.1, which just dropped today. Point is: This will be a slow, gradual rollout. Timelines and whether features will make it in one update or get pushed back to another are constantly shifting. Siri being able to understand data from within apps and third-party apps is currently estimated for 18.3 or 18.4, and those are currently expected sometime in Q1 2025, as late as March. This is a marathon, not a sprint y'all. Try to have patience, and definitely don't hold your breath. submitted by /u/InfiniteHench [link] [comments]
