Long time Android user moving to iPhone- need advice on 300GB of media

Hey all,

 

So as the title suggests I'm finally crossing over from Android (had variations of Samsung phones) for the past 12 years. Now, I have an iPhone 15 Pro Max 1TB waiting for me to take over.

 

The problem? Migrating from Android to iOS.

 

I've been using the "Move to iOS" app for this migration. I've moved everything BUT the media.

 

The reason for that is because every time I tried to- it would just get stuck and will not continue. Yes, I know moving so much data, even with a usb type c connecting both phones is going to take time.

 

I was thinking about uploading it to a cloud service so it can eventually sync with my iPhone once I'm done with the initial setup. If I do that with iCloud - is it going to sync it with my camera roll? I don't need a huge iCloud storage allotment except for this one time. Should I got the 3rd party app route via the PC? All the pictures easily backed up to my PC.

 

Ideally I wouldn't want to use dates of media.
