Hi all,

I am having a problem with a new build, basically it doesn't boot, don't get the beep and no signal. All components are new (exceot HDD). I get beeps if RAM is not inserted so I know speaker works.

I have tried to start it with the Mobo on a cardboard box, also tried another mobo (same product/brand new), tired it with different RAMs also one stick at a time etc.

Tried to start it with only CPU/fan and RAM.

Tried different PSUs (both brand new)

Tried to clear the Cmos by using a screwdriver to bridge the pins. Taken out the battery for 30 secs.

when I press power button, fans come on (the cpu fan takes a few seconds to get started) I can hear the HDD but nothing else happens.

Here are the components.

MOBO - GIGABYTE H61MA-D3V (rev 2.0)

CPU - Intel i5 3450 3.1GHZ

PSU - 700W

RAM - G.Skill, Rip Jaws, F3-10666CL9D - DDR3-1333 2x4GB

I am sure that they are compatible...

What am I missing...is the CPU duff??? I've replaced/tried diff (brand new) of everything else!

HELP PLEASE!!!

Thanks for reading![h=1][/h][h=1][/h][h=1][/h]

Hi

Looks like you tried everything else except CPU. Try with a different CPU to rule out that possiblity. But it does sound like either CPU or Motherboard.
