Guest Mike Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 I want to use Drive Copy 5 to copy a 300GB hard drive to a 320GB new one. I have 2 partitions on the drive which XP expects to be I and L. The instructions suggest to hide the partitions so the OS will not make new drive letters. Is this a concern in XP since I see drives fom C to P with these two missing . TIA
Guest sgopus Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 RE: Hide or unhide partitions in XP Pro disk copy if you only have data on these partitions, there shouldn't be an issues necessary to hide them from XP, however if you have installed programs/software on these partitions there could be an issue as they may not be able to be found "Mike" wrote: > I want to use Drive Copy 5 to copy a 300GB hard drive to a 320GB new one. > I have 2 partitions on the drive which XP expects to be I and L. > The instructions suggest to hide the partitions so the OS will not make new > drive letters. > Is this a concern in XP since I see drives fom C to P with these two missing . > TIA
