Guest /u/ashiquropu Posted November 13, 2024 Posted November 13, 2024 Just bought the base M4 mini, it’s more powerful than I expected for some basic photo editing, 3d modeling (and some future video editing). I also ordered a 14” M4 Pro MBP, but after seeing the mini’s perf, I realized it’s just an overkill for some portable casual computing. I haven’t even opened the MBP box and will return in a few days. Instead of this, I traded-in my 2018 MBA with 16G ram at BestBuy for a sweet $525 value and ordered the M2 MBA with 16G ram for $799 (will keep an eye on for further price matching opportunity).
