Guest /u/Beneficial_Slide_424 Posted November 16, 2024 Posted November 16, 2024 Hey! Considering switching from Samsung S series to iPhone. For years, the lack of secure folder feature in ios holded me back. I researched and realized there is a similar feature in Ios18. I have a question about this feature. In Samsung, you can enable a VPN inside the secure folder, and it will completely isolate the network for the apps inside the secure folder. With this, I am allowed to run a clone of the apps, like Discord, Whatsapp, web browsers, etc with another set of accounts with a different IP address, that is not leaked outside of the secure folder, while maintaining non-vpn connection outside of the secure folder. Furthermore, the phone will block all network connections made from the secure folder when VPN isn't enabled, making it impossible to leak your IP address inside the secure folder. I wonder if the VPN works the same way in iPhone. Can anyone using it answer my question? Thanks! submitted by /u/Beneficial_Slide_424 [link] [comments]
