M4 Mac Mini SOCD report detected: (AP watchdog expired) becoming frequent

Didn't have this in the first week or so, but now every day or two, probably while sleeping I'm greeted with a Mac that's clearly just rebooted at some point due to an error (SOCD report detected: (AP watchdog expired)) And I have to login and it boots up.

 

I know this has been an issue in the past with other M chips and using external USB drives. Any fixes. Anyone else experiencing?
