Since iOS 18 my podcast subscriptions don’t work, I’m not getting the subscriber edition of podcasts

I just tried to listen to a podcast using the Apple Podcasts app for the first time since updating to iOS 18 (18.1) last week, and I’m getting ads despite having an active subscription - it’s not even showing me the subscriber edition. Anyone got any ideas what to try to do to fix it?

Edit: it fixed itself, so if it wasn’t working for you, try again, it might be ok.
