Autocorrect is terrible

I only updated to iOS 18 recently, but the terrible changes to autocorrect are driving me insane. It keeps correcting works that are correct or trying to split up correct words into nonsensical combinations. For example, in constantly autocorrects to on, and in this sentence “autocorrects” just autocorrected to “autocorrect a” and autocorrected = autocorrect Ed. Is there a way (autocorrected to eat) to change this? It’s driving me crazy!
