I'd like to replace my archaic external storage with something fast and ideally safe. By “safe”, I mean that there is no risk of electrical problems due to overheating. With my current low-cost hub, I'm often stressed by electrical noise. My current SSDs are SATA and don't exceed 350MB/s. So here I'd like to acquire a 4TB NVMe that will reach maximum speeds of 3000MB/s, assuming I can't get more with my iMac M1. Can you recommend a configuration that I won't regret ? My budget is around $400. TY ! https://preview.redd.it/iggz45u4812e1.jpg?width=960&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=593d6710bd094d6ef1e93ef9a41579549ca4d8ac submitted by /u/D822A [link] [comments]
