I just got a new MacBook Pro (M4) and I downloaded the exact same version of Word I was using on my previous MacBook Pro (2017). On my new MacBook, when I copy text that's in a column from a PDF into Word, it maintains the column format every time. On my old MacBook, it would just paste in regular sentence format, and would not preserve the column format. Does anyone know what settings I can change on Word or my MacBook to fix this? I want it to paste the text in regular sentence format like it used to on my old Macbook, where it didn't maintain the column/paragraph format. I tried pasting with unformatted text, and Shift + Command + V, but neither help. I have been pasting the text into the Google search bar and then pasting it into my document, which works, but I really don't want to keep doing that extra step.
