Guest /u/whewett88 Posted December 8, 2024 Posted December 8, 2024 https://b.thumbs.redditmedia.com/2F2D2C3b7ujSVQ6MI2nU9OvU6VXkPVRW37Lph-V298s.jpg I used to be able to use my Canon DSLR as a webcam until Ventura (I think?) using Canon's EOS Utility extension. Obviously using Apple's Continuity Camera is a fantastic and seamless solution to my issue, but I would still prefer to use my DSLR as a fixed webcam for my new M4 Mac mini setup. Nowadays, I can only get as far as having the attached image displayed in Zoom, Photo Booth, OBS, etc. I assume the cable I'm using is fine as I can Remote Shoot and transfer images using EOS Utility. I have downloaded EOS Utility, EOS Webcam Utility and tried using EOS Webcam Utility Pro but have no idea how to even launch it; it seems to have the same extension as EOS Webcam Utility (non Pro). I have also used similar steps to the one's mentioned below, including making sure that EOS Utility does not open on launch, disabling Wifi on the camera, etc.: https://reddit.com/r/canon/comments/l3sscf/canon_eos_webcam_utility_not_working_tried View: https://www.reddit.com/r/canon/comments/l3sscf/canon_eos_webcam_utility_not_working_tried/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button Has anyone else been able to find an up-to-date solution? Thanks! https://preview.redd.it/zrosmwh65k5e1.png?width=1116&format=png&auto=webp&s=7c26beccf0ad93d80644687f71229db95d95c0d2 submitted by /u/whewett88 [link] [comments]
