Screen share instead of upgrading Laptop

I have a 2019 MacBook Pro with all the bells and whistles, and was thinking of upgrading as it sounds like a blow dryer when editing my videos.

I was thinking of getting the latest MBP but then watched a video on screen sharing. I generally don’t take my laptop out the house, but mainly use it around the house so, like in the living room when my wife is watching 90 day fiancé and I fear brain rot if I do the same.

But it occurred to me, that there might be another option.

What if I bought a more powerful Mac Studio, and used the MBP around the house as a remote screen for my Studio?

This would theoretically mean all the processing would be done on the Studio.

Has anyone had experience with this, is my assumption correct? Or will I be dealing with lag or any other problems?

Thanks in advance.
