Nothing major, but I’ve been using a base M1 MacBook Air alongside a 2018 iPad Pro 11” from 2018 with a Pencil 2 and Magic Keyboard. I realise they’re aging so considering upgrading. I am getting a M4 Min base for Christmas but I’m paying £250 towards it. I have a monitor and keyboard etc already, and it was annoying me docking my Air all the time so this gets me a full desktop again. I do wish to have something portable though. My options are; Trade the M1 against an MacBook Air base as it comes with 16GB RAM now, and make do with my iPad. Trade the iPad against an M4 Pro, get another Magic Keyboard and Pencil Pro but that comes out more expensive. Third option is the M3 MacBook Air and then trade my iPad against an iPad Mini 7 then get a Pencil Pro down the line for Procreate. Would I benefit from going M1 to M3, or the A12x to the M4 in the iPad? Or am I just spending money and won’t notice a difference? submitted by /u/geecol [link] [comments]
