iPad Air 5 Can’t Download IOS 18 despite having 10 gb of free space. iOS 18 says it’s only a 4GB update?

Title is self explanatory. iPad says it has 54gb of used storage out of 64. What gives?

 

Next course of action, my iMessage takes up 28gb of storage on my iPad. What is this dumbass system where if you delete messages from device it deletes messages all the way around. Seems like a ridiculous and obvious oversight on Apple’s part entirely.

 

How do I delete stuff on my iPad specifically on iMessage without deleting everything from my iPhone?

 

I’ve deleted all apps except for the ones I actually use, i don’t have the wnerg to scroll through camera roll and individually pick out and delete videos and photos.

 

You know for something claimed to be easy to use, IOS actually sucks monkey balls and is very complicated. In an effort to streamline as much as they can, they oversimplified the shit out of IOS to the point you actually don’t have control over much
