iPhone 14 Pro Max screen acting weird and now completely black after iOS 18.2?

Curious if anyone has had a similar issue and what your fix was. Last night my wife’s iPhone started doing this thing where part of the screen was turning really light (colors looked like they were kinda blown out/white) but it was only from about the volume buttons down and it would kinda flicker. She went to her home screen and the DraftKings app (which was well below the volume buttons and in the middle of the screen) was not distorted at all along with another app that I can’t remember yet the remainder of the screen was distorted. She restarted her phone and the issue persisted and about 30 seconds later the screen went black and will not turn back on. We knew the phone was still on because flipping the silent button by the volume buttons would still cause it to vibrate.

 

Since then, we have tried:

 

Force restarting the phone (volume up, volume down, hold power button until Apple logo appears)

 

Plugging the phone into a computer and factory resetting it.

 

Downgrading to iOS 18.1

 

Upgrading from 18.1 to 18.2

 

Charging phone over night.

 

Nothing has worked and I’m wondering what the likelihood is that the display went out. She only started having issues with her phone since downloading iOS 18.2.
