Guest /u/Jealous-Jello-3332 Posted December 16, 2024 Posted December 16, 2024 Hi everyone! I’m new to iPhone, and I came across some posts saying that if you add photos to a shared album in the iPhone Photo Library, they’re stored in the cloud but don’t use up your iCloud storage. Before risking any valuable photos, I wanted to ask: Is it true that shared albums don’t count against iCloud storage? What happens to the shared album photos if I switch to a new iPhone? I tried creating a shared album and shared it with myself. I deleted the original photos from the camera roll and even from the "Recently Deleted" folder, but the photos remain in the shared album. However, I noticed something strange: when I log into iCloud from my PC (Windows) using a browser, I don’t see the shared albums there. Are shared albums only accessible on Apple devices? Thanks in advance for your help! submitted by /u/Jealous-Jello-3332 [link] [comments]
