Messages app audio button in text field, begone! But how?

Does anybody know how to get rid of the red audio message recording option in the text box of Messages app? I keep tapping it accidentally and have the stupid thing recording me for ages without me realising. I haven’t accidentally sent one of these nonsense recordings yet, but it’s only a matter of time. There doesn’t seem to be any option anywhere in iOS 18.2 to disable it.

 

It’s such an intrusion and nuisance not to mention a potentially significant security and privacy issue. These stupid audio buttons are appearing everywhere like toxic mould now and there seems to be a very deliberate effort by apps and OS’s to prevent these audio recording trigger button from being disabled, which is just super creepy.
