It started shutting off randomly, whether during startup or while working. I searched for solutions and tried the basics, like resetting the SMC and NVRAM/PRAM, but nothing worked. I decided to reinstall macOS, hoping it would help. However, the laptop powered off in the middle of the installation. Now, when I turn it on, it only shows a folder with a question mark. I can’t reinstall macOS online because it keeps shutting off automatically. Does this sound like a hardware issue (e.g., battery, logic board, or SSD), or is there something else I can try? Would using a bootable USB installer help? Thanks in advance for your advice! submitted by /u/Forsaken-Astronaut61 [link] [comments]
