Block Sender no longer working in my iOS Mail app

Lately (at least since 18.1) when I try to select “Block Sender” on an email, through any menu method, it doesn’t work. No red circle/slash icon appears on the email, and if you go back into the menus, it still says “Block Sender” not “Unblock Sender”

 

Anyone else experiencing this? Is there a limit to senders we can block?
