Scrolling to the top of a photo album *does not mean I want to CLOSE IT*

Can we please delete the "photos" app and start over? Every time I scroll back to the top of an album I have to exercise the digital dexterity of a COD player to not accidentally close it.

 

And why are those little slideshows (with terrible music) still peaking out from the top even after I chose to hide it? Who asked for any of this??
