Turn off shared albums when sending a photo in iMessage?

I just joined a shared album with my family (nothing to hide whatever).

 

When pulling up photos from iMessage to send someone something it shows all the photos from my personal and shared albums. I have "show only personal" on my Photos app but don't know if there's a toggle elsewhere to stop it from showing in iMessage.

 

Any ideas?
