Guest /u/Artistic-Ad-4938 Posted December 23, 2024 Posted December 23, 2024 Hey guys, Im having installation trouble with MacOS, i've tried so much im at my wits end a bit, so any help is appreciated. I've recently upgraded some older iMacs and put SSDs in the devices. I always boot into Internet Recovery, which error's me on installation: ''An error occured while preparing the application, please try again'' I formatted the drives as MacOS Journaled (Extended) and has a GUID partition map. When internet recovery didnt work, I created installation media with transmac and downloading the Sierra dmg from Apple's website. But i can't get it to boot off the USB. In startup disks nothing appears and i always boot into internet recovery as previously mentioned. i have tried a different USB, different port, resetting SMC and NVRAM.
