I'm an absolute idiot and my phone slipped out of my hand as I was picking it up. It slid down the keyboard of my MacBook Air 2020 and (to be fair, not very hard!) hit the black edge of the display. As a result, l've now got a fat chunk of vertical lines on the left side of my screen. Whilst it's definitely not the worst it could've been and is definitely still usable, I know it'll have to be replaced to fix it. My question, though, is will it get worse just with general use? I'm a student and home from university right now, and I don't have the funds to repair it. I'm going to get a job in the New Year in my uni town (I was planning on this anyway!) and save up for it. I'm terrified to tell my parents, they'll be SO angry, so it's definitely a 'fix it at uni' problem. Will the lines get worse with use, or is it a case of what's done is done and it'll only get worse if it gets impacted the same way again? Thanks!! submitted by /u/Aggravating-Golf7727 [link] [comments]
