Setting up New iPad and added app icons so I can have it all the same colour. Having so difficulties

I downloaded loads of different app icons to add onto my apps using the app shortcuts , after adding them all and finishing I it out and to get into one app it goes through all of my other apps first. But if I go into my first shortcut it just brings me to the first, if I go to my second , it brings me through the first and second shortcut I made and if I go into the 10th it brings me through all of 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9. How do I stop this?
