Guest /u/AlarmedPineapple3333 Posted December 25, 2024 Posted December 25, 2024 I just got a 14” MacBook Pro m4 max and an LG display second hand. The display is the 35” curved ultrawide QHD HDR monitor with USB type-C. I downloaded the drive for the display and tried connecting both the USBC and HDMI through a display link I got with the monitor. I tried connecting and disconnecting both links, restarting the MacBook while connected, shutting down both the MacBook and the display while connected then turning them on together, but nothing worked. The display doesn’t show up in the settings no matter how many times I hit detect display while switching things up. I tried changing the preset and trying to detect the display with each setting but it didn’t work. What else am I missing? The MacBook is new only the display and display link are second hand. I got them from my brother and they’re in good condition. He didn’t have any issues with them when he had them. Sorry if I made any mistakes. English isn’t my first language. submitted by /u/AlarmedPineapple3333 [link] [comments]
