iOS 18.2 photo gallery - sometimes left and right swipes ignored. Anyone else?

Hey, quick question. Has anyone else noticed that sometimes, when just casually swiping left and right through your photos, while the photos are opened (so not on the grid view), a left or right swipe gets ignored?

 

It happens more often when I swipe a few times to one side and then to the opposite side.

 

What’s weird is, that I don’t have such problems in other apps. And I also can’t reproduce that on the home screen or anywhere else.

 

I’ve tried to deactivate certain iCloud features, such as keep originals, to see if it makes a difference but it doesn’t.

 

So the main point of this post is to see if I’m alone with that or if others noticed that too?

 

It’s not a long stutter or freeze, rather a subtle little unregistered swipe.

On and I’m using an iPhone 15, base model with as mentioned, iOS 18.2.
