Guest Brian Mosher Posted October 28, 2008 Posted October 28, 2008 I have an old Win2K Advanced Server that I'd possibly like to upgrade to Windows Server 2003. I got the trial version from Microsoft and burned the 2 ISO images to CDs. The CD isn't bootable, though. It definitely has a boot sector on it, but just boots right into Server2K. The CD light blinks for a second on bootup and then moves right on. If I put the Server2K CD in, it will boot into that install fine. Any ideas? Thanks, Brian Mosher
Guest Meinolf Weber Posted October 29, 2008 Posted October 29, 2008 Re: Windows Server 2003 Boot Problem Hello Brian, Do you have just the 2 .iso files on the disk or did you burn the image with an image burner, so that you have a complete folder structure on the disk? Guest Brian Mosher Posted October 29, 2008 Posted October 29, 2008 Re: Windows Server 2003 Boot Problem I have them on 2 CDs and used Roxio so there is a complete folder structure on both disks. Just not bootable for some reason.
