Hi. I have a Fujitsu Siemens Scaleo PI2662 running Vista Home Premium from 2008

Switched on machine yesterday and the screen had 'noise' all over it but I was able to read through it that 'start up' had failed, went to 'safe' mode and it similarly failed. Went onto recuperation mode and the bar was just visible as it moved left to right to notify it was functioning but after a little while the 'noise' was such on the screen that nothing was visible other than multicoloured lines. Changed screens and it was exactly the same. Any ideas .. virus, hardware fault etc. , I have the recovery disks but would be unable to read any instructions on the screen. Any help would be appreciated.. Thanks

Possibly a graphics problem. Do you have a dedicated graphics card, or is it shared (motherboard)?

If it is a dedicated card, remove it from the case and try running video from the motherboard.

Or, if it is shared, see if you can borrow a dedicated card.

Another thing to try is to give the inside a clean-out. Dust build up can cause video problems due to fans not moving air.

Thats my thought on the matter. Another member may have a better idea.
