Undock doesn't work anymore - Windows XP Pro SP3 on Sony Vaio laptop

Gurus,

 

Running Windows XP Pro SP3 on a Sony Vaio laptop. Don't know what I've

recently changed on my system but it's running fine except for one little

problem - when I press the undock button on the docking station or try to

undock it via the Start Menu nothing happens. It used to present a nice

little dialog box saying undock is complete but now it doesn't do this

anymore. Thoughts?
