Hope I am in the correct section don't know really where to post this :-

I made a small video clip and converted it into AVI with a freeware program and copied it onto a portable harddrive, if I click on the file it will play with windows media player but, and here comes the crunch, if I then plug the harddrive into the usb socket on a Hitachi L22DG07U led tv it will not play and gives a message unsupported or invalid file yet it is an avi file and the tv supports it as it plays other avi files any thoughts.

Hi

Someone else might have a better solution, but i think it is to do with the codec you used to convert the file. You must look at what codec the tv uses.
