Windows 7 ultimate media player help?

I am using windows 7 ultimate, and windows media player keeps saying its not installed properly do I want to install it from the website,which I cant cos its only on the disc, which I have,but dont know how to get it off the disc, could you help please.

Yes you can download it from the Microsoft website and it will automatically reinstall whatever bit that isn't right. You don't need to mess with the original Windows disk at all.
