Guest clayman Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 I have a legal xp pro system for 2 computers and in the last 2 month have been having hardware problems and have had to reinstall several and move a previously installed system to another computer. Now Microsoft is treating these two installed systems like they are bootleg ones and cutting off several important licenses and aren't letting me download updates . How can I get them to see these two systems are legal. clayman
Guest Bob I Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 Re: Registration NO, you have a legal xp pro system for ONE computer with 2 CPUS. BIG DIFFERENCE. You are NOT LEGAL. Go buy a legal copy for the second computer. clayman wrote: > I have a legal xp pro system for 2 computers and in the last 2 month have > been having hardware problems and have had to reinstall several and move a > previously installed system to another computer. Guest sgopus Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 RE: Registration How do you figure you have a copy of XP valid for two computers?? Does the license specifically state licensed for 2 pc's? Guest Bob I Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 Re: Registration No the user is confusing CPUs (processors) with computers. XO PRO is licensed for use on a dual CPU computer. sgopus wrote: > How do you figure you have a copy of XP valid for two computers?? > Does the license specifically state licensed for 2 pc's? > > > "clayman" wrote: > > >>I have a legal xp pro system for 2 computers and in the last 2 month have >>been having hardware problems and have had to reinstall several and move a >>previously installed system to another computer.
