It is diplaying a black screen with white text: checking the status of your hard disk.... some other info then c:\TOOLS> I have tried a few things but it keeps returning to this screen? Quote

pc tech Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 HI Dan try booting from a xp cd and run recovery console when at the prompt type chkdsk/r if you cant get to the console you will get an error message and it will be your partition on the hard drive that is corrupted Quote
