Help Using this site.

Hello Everyone,

I have recently gave up my subscriptions to Experts Exchange due to

the lack of responses when posting an item. (The help was perfect

when someone did respond)

My question is, I have posted a "How to" on here, and I would like

someone to tell me where to view it or search "My Questions" at a

later time.

If this is not a possibility, I would like to know.

Thanks everyone.

Hi - my advice is that you not use Google Groups to access the newsgroups.

Google Groups is wonderful for searching old posts, but is not the best way

to use the groups 'live'. Nor is the MS web interface. Instll a news client,

such as Forte Agent, Thunderbird, or even Outlook Express instead. It's a

lot easier to do nearly everything that way. You can mark messages to be

watched, filter the views so you can see replies to your posts easily, and

search.

The Microsoft public news server is msnews.microsoft.com and you can

subscribe to as many groups as you like; no authentication is required.

Hello Craig,

See the suggestions from Lanwench and use a free newsreader for it. Then

you can have all groups you need in a good overview also for

reviewing and depending on your newsreader you have also tools for marking

etc.

I use this one:
