Guest Bill Simard Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 I replaced my motherboard and I tried reinstalling my OS using the original CD. I copies the install file to the drive and reboots, then the splash screen appears, then I get Inaccessable_boot_device Stop 0x0000007E (0xC0000005) (0xBA9E8750) (0xBACCB42C) (0xBACCB128) What do I need to do to clear this. This is on a Compaq machine running XP pro. Usually doing a reinstall (upgrade) works to fix this, but not this time. I can get in using safe mode, so if anyone knows what files I need to delete or reg entries I need to delete to make this stop, that would be great. I'm guessing it is looking for the SCSI drive that is no loger there. I'm on an SATA drive now. Thanks for the help. Bill
