That's awesome news! The Graphics card will run most recent games and will see you going for a few years (hopefully). The rest of the lag will be down to your CPU. A further decent upgrade will be around 150-200 quid (CPU, RAM and Motherboard)

not something i will be planning nytime soon i think but am i right in thinking that to upgrade just the processor would mean a new motherboard ? is it possible to upgrade just the processor?

a problem for the future anyway :)

You could just upgrade the processor, but it would be worth the while to buy a bundle as they work out cheaper. DDR2 is kinda out dated now, so going DDR3 would be a good idea.

hmm, just wondering if i would be able to get a good enough processor that would fit on my current motherboard. again not something im particularly in a hurry for but if anyone is able to reccomend one that would work with the rest of what i already have and tell me if it would be an upgrade worth getting as a temporary measure i would appreciate it.

The specs on the motherboard say it will support it.

This is the same one that I put into the PC I build last week, which runs a lot smoother than my FX-6100
