Vr5fx Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 That's awesome news! The Graphics card will run most recent games and will see you going for a few years (hopefully). The rest of the lag will be down to your CPU. A further decent upgrade will be around 150-200 quid (CPU, RAM and Motherboard) I'm glad that the majority of the lag has been fixed for you, hope to see you around soon, on better circumstances next time! :) Quote AMD FX 6100 @ 3.9Ghz / Asus M5A99X EVO 990X / G-Skill 8GB DDR3 1600Mhz RipjawsX / Zotac GeForce GTX 660 Ti / Corsair TX 750W V2 PSU / Antec Kuhler 620 / Win7 64 / NZXT Tempest 410 Elite / NZXT 6 channel fan controller / Kingston 240GB HyperX 3K SSD / 1TB HDD Intel Pentium G2020 2.90GHz / Gigabyte GA-Z77N-WIFI / Kingston 4GB DDR3 1600MHz HyperX Genesis / Corsair 430W CXM / Fractal Design Node 304 Mini ITX Case / 2TB WD Greenhttp://steamsignature.com/status/default/76561197986113115.png
needhelpplz Posted September 16, 2012 Author Posted September 16, 2012 not something i will be planning nytime soon i think but am i right in thinking that to upgrade just the processor would mean a new motherboard ? is it possible to upgrade just the processor? a problem for the future anyway :) thanks all Quote
Vr5fx Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 You could just upgrade the processor, but it would be worth the while to buy a bundle as they work out cheaper. DDR2 is kinda out dated now, so going DDR3 would be a good idea. needhelpplz Posted September 18, 2012 Author Posted September 18, 2012 hmm, just wondering if i would be able to get a good enough processor that would fit on my current motherboard. again not something im particularly in a hurry for but if anyone is able to reccomend one that would work with the rest of what i already have and tell me if it would be an upgrade worth getting as a temporary measure i would appreciate it. This is the same one that I put into the PC I build last week, which runs a lot smoother than my FX-6100 Quote AMD FX 6100 @ 3.9Ghz / Asus M5A99X EVO 990X / G-Skill 8GB DDR3 1600Mhz RipjawsX / Zotac GeForce GTX 660 Ti / Corsair TX 750W V2 PSU / Antec Kuhler 620 / Win7 64 / NZXT Tempest 410 Elite / NZXT 6 channel fan controller / Kingston 240GB HyperX 3K SSD / 1TB HDD Intel Pentium G2020 2.90GHz / Gigabyte GA-Z77N-WIFI / Kingston 4GB DDR3 1600MHz HyperX Genesis / Corsair 430W CXM / Fractal Design Node 304 Mini ITX Case / 2TB WD Greenhttp://steamsignature.com/status/default/76561197986113115.png
