djdecks2 Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 OK i have just upgraded from Vista Ultimate 32Bit to Win 7 Pro 64Bit because Vista was limiting my ram to 3.3gbs where as my total is 4gb (1 stick). Anyway occasionally on boot up after the windows 7 logo loads i will get a BSOD called memory management. Anyway i looked around and people have said that it may be bad ram and to use memtest86 so i did and it said there was nothing wrong with my memory/ram so just to be safe i cleaned the ram with alcohol put it back in and i got onto the desktop installed new display drivers which asked me to restart so i did and then what do you know BSOD. So sometimes i can get onto the desktop but other times not so same as before. Anyway other things i have tried are as followed. Disc Check which came back saying everything was fine. Disc Cleanup sfc /scannow (3 times repair windows 7 Quote
KenB Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 Hi Can you post the BSOD Stop Error please. When you ran the Memtest - how long did you let it run ? Can you run the machine in Safe Mode ? Switch on and tap F8 about once per second. Select Safe Mode from the list of options.
