ric01 Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Hi, Have an ancient P3 XP which is still running great but running out of IDE Hard Drive capacity. This pc has a zip drive which is never used now. I saved all my zip discs to CD ages ago anyway. My question is, can I unhitch the zip drive and hook up the IDE cable to an auxiliary (slave jumper) Hard Drive please? Thanks, Ric Quote
KenB Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 Hi and welcome to ExTS So - you want to use another IDE HDD on the IDE cable originally used by the zip drive ? I can see no reason why you can't do this. Do you have a slot for the HDD ? - not that it really matters Quote There is an email going around offering processed pork - gelatin - and salt in a can ......this is simply SPAM !!
