Rosmon Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 VPN Hi pc49, Sorry for such a late posting but I've been sorting out a malware problem. There are two UK VPN services which rate and perform well, but they are not free though they have very good packages: Overplay.net and HideMyAss. You can subscribe for just one month if you want to, which is probably going to be long enough for a holiday, and won't cost you your spare wheel: approx. 10GBP. During peak times they can time-out, which can be very annoying for sports events, or if it times-out when Poirot is about to unveil the murderer. If this happens for more than 20 seconds it may be a total freeze and if you're using Hide My Ass, the best option is to click the small arrow on the right in the system tray, right click, and select change location. I'm still not very familiar with Overplay.net at the moment as I haven't used it too much but I'm currently running them both to compare performances. And that's the last thing, don't run them together; they don't play in the sandpit well together. I'll normally click a running VPN off from the system tray if I'm going to change from one to another to make sure. If you're already back from your holiday, I guess this isn't much use to you, but you mentioned that you live in Spain. And don't forget..... Whatever you watch, wherever you watch it. You need to be covered by a TV license. Quote
