Cannot use fingerprint on laptop

I have a HP EliteBook 820 G1 and cannot set up the biometric option on my device. I go to the biometric device settings and it shows up but once i try to enable it, it says "The selected fingerprint reader has no management application installed" I also downloaded the program HP Client Security and when I try to add my fingerprints it does not read them.

I opened the BIOS menu to see if the biometric was disabled but it is not, its enabled. It also gives me the option of accessing the BIOS menu with my fingerprint , but since I have not been able to set it up I wasn't able to access the menu with that option.

Do I need to install another program? or is there something wrong with the sensor? When I accessed the BIOS menu I was able to scan my fingerprint but since I don't have it set up I couldn't access the menu with that option.
