Ignoramus Posted September 27, 2012 Posted September 27, 2012 I have a large collection of photographs sitting on the hard drive of my HP Pavilion 433 computer. As it's now nearly ten years old, I'd like to transfer them to DVD before it dies. It has a DVD reader but no recorder, so I'm looking for a reasonably priced DVD burner so that I can back up my collection and also see them on my TV through my DVD player. It needs to be an external burner, since it seems pointless to install it within an elderly computer. Any suggestions would be welcome. Quote

Ignoramus Posted November 19, 2012 Author Posted November 19, 2012 Choosing a DVD burner Sorry not to have come back earlier, but a holiday and several family commitments disorganised me - not difficult to do. Thank you Kenb for the information which you sent me. I used it to form a choice, but before I could make it, my son told me that he was having a new PC made to his specification (he's like that!) and that I can have his old one - a lot newer than mine - which has a DVD burner built in. So my problem seems to have been solved - for free! Thanks again Ignoramus Quote
